    Balticlab 3.0 call for applications is now open

    For the third year running the Council of the Baltic Sea States and the Swedish Institute bring young creative minds from the Baltic Sea region together into one space to explore new perspectives and sources of inspiration in the region.

    The sound of drums fills the street. I’m dressed in full Samba costume. Platform shoes, sequins and a large feathered back piece. My feet stamp to the beat of the music. Sweat is running down my face. I’m dancing and there’s a wild, happy feeling in my bones. I smile at the people I meet. They smile back. It’s summer on Gothenburg’s main boulevard. Fiesta is in the air.

    Balticlab arrives in Tallinn

    From 21st to 25th March, Balticlab – a joint project by the Council of the Baltic Sea States and the Swedish Institute aimed at creating a network of interdisciplinary talent in the Baltic Sea Region, who collectively link the region, as well as act as future front-runners and innovators in their respective fields – takes place in Tallinn.

    Young Estonian dancers Kadri Noormets and Kadi Maria Vooglaid presented their work in progress “60’ state of“ in dance festival UUS TANTS 2013 in Haapsalu, Estonia. Two female dancers were dancing club- or trancedance with techno-music background for 60 minutes.
