The aesthetic of the new spring-summer 2015 collection "Streams of the overground" by BlankBlank is rooted in the unusual colours, lights and landforms of the untamed nature of Iceland. The landscape, created by under– and overground streams resonates deeply with the streams within ourselves.
Imaginary Latvians in literature and film
Some time ago, a new interesting project Imaginary Latvians appeared online, collecting Latvian characters encountered in world literature and film. Often enough we have looked for Latvian identity in our folklore, literature and art, but finding out what others think about us can be even more exciting. We asked Rihards Kalniņš, one of the authors of the Imaginary Latvians project, to tell us a bit more.
