Gallery: Three Days of Positivity

The three-day long camping and music marathon at Positivus Festival in Latvia, Salacgriva has come to an end for this year. Rain predicted for the festival was almost nonexistent and even the super wind, that made people fight with their hair and often brought up a question whether your tent would be at the same place where you had left it, could not bring the levels of positivity down to the ground.

The Estonian invasion to Latvia was impressive yet again – Estonian phrases seemed to pop-up everywhere and at times it was easy to forget in which country the festival was really held. The musical variety was wide enough to satisfy the needs of every alternative fan. Was it either Sigur Rós, who covered the festival area with hypnotic beauty, Crystal Castles, that caused euphoria with massive noise and whose frontwoman, pop icon Alice Glass took the stage drinking Jack Daniel’s and smoking cigarettes, or the Galvanic Elephants, one of the representatives of the Estonian delegation, who once again proved their capability as an awesome live band. Not to mention The XX which surprised with an ultimate richness of nuance and brought all of its heartbreak-ridden hits to the audience. No wonder the post-concert exaltation presiding in the social media does not seem to fall calm.

Our neighbors in the south should definitely be saluted for the enjoyable atmosphere, good music and professional organization. Now it is time to lean on this year’s emotions and start waiting for Positivus 2014.

Toeta vastutustundlikku ajakirjandust
