Attention, film aficionados! The world of cinema is brimming with glamour, blood and tears, it has given us food for thought and interpretation since its first black-and-white screenplays to the pretty pink hotels of Wes Anderson, and film reviews are nowadays read more than ever. It is once again time to call out the annual Müürileht’s Young Film Critics competition. The participants are presumed to possess humour, curiosity, great writing skills, clear opinion and all-around proof that you know what you are writing about. A young film critic is defined as someone who dares to claim so.

We are accepting reviews of film and/or TV series from 2013 or 2014 that made the biggest impression or struck you in a new way. Entries both in English and Estonian are eligible.

Length: max. 3500 characters (spaces included) Deadline: 22 May, to be sent at: emilie@muurileht.ee.

Prizes: Winner of the first prize will obtain a free pass to all screenings at Cinema Sõprus and Tartu Elektriteater till the end of the year. Other prizes include tickets to the Rooftop Cinema in Tallinn, where you can enjoy fantastic films throughout the whole summer at a leisurely spot in open air.

A selection of the most remarkable submissions will be printed in the June issue of Müürileht and published on our website. A 5-member committee will choose the best works.

Enter yourself or encourage a friend who you know loves films to submit a review!
