Silvia Urgas is the Estonian nominee for the PEN International New Voices Award

This is the second time when PEN International gives out the New Voices Award which aims to aspire young writers whose work has already been published but not in the book form. Silvia Urgas is amongst the six nominees this year. Her poetry has been published in two Estonian magazines, Müürileht and Värske Rõhk. Maarja Pärtna interviewed the Estonian PEN Club’s president Kätlin Kaldmaa to find out what is this award about and how did Silvia Urgas’s poetry stand out from the other young authors’ work.
